Jacob Fairfax

Biography

Jacob Fairfax came in to UNC Charlotte as many wide-eyed rookies do, with tons of energy and athleticism and not a clue in the world where to cut. However, Jake quickly caught on to concepts  and soon proved himself to be a dominant force on both sides of the disc. His club career began with Charlotte, N.C.’s low-level (and only) club team, BaNC. There, he emerged as a power cutter, surprising every team with the proverbial, “Who the heck is that guy?” For his sophomore year, Fairfax was convinced to tryout for Charlotte’s semi-pro team, the Express. Playing on the D line, he would guard the most athletic cutter, which began to get him some recognition that was long overdue. Due to his success on the semi-pro level and word finally getting around, Jake found himself playing with Ring of Fire that following summer. With the Charlotte semi-professional team folding, Fairfax decided to sign with the Raleigh Flyers, working his way to become one of their most dominant O-line cutters. Continued success at the most elite levels allowed Jacob to be selected for the U.S. U-24 National Team that came home with the gold from Perth this past January. As of today, you can find Jake and his continued success on the Flyers roster, or making a postseason push with the college he helped put on the map.
