28-Game Broadcast Schedule Announced for College Championships

Fourteen Men’s Games, 14 Women’s Games to Feature College Ultimate’s Top Teams and Athletes

Colorado Springs, Colo. (May 15, 2018)—USA Ultimate is proud to announce its complete 28-game broadcast schedule for the 2018 College Championships next week in Milwaukee, marking the most live content ever produced in the tournament’s 35-year history.

All totaled, three separate production crews will cover 14 men’s games and 14 women’s games, featuring the best teams and student-athletes college ultimate has to offer.

In partnership with Ultiworld – the premier news media site dedicated to the sport of ultimate – a total of 11 games will be streamed on Ultiworld’s coverage includes five opening day pool play games on Friday, May 25, an additional four pool play games and a pre-quarterfinal elimination game on Saturday, May 26, plus a quarterfinal matchup on Sunday, May 27.

Mirroring Ultiworld’s schedule, USA Ultimate has again retained the services of Fulcrum Media Group to produce an additional 11 games from Milwaukee. Content produced by Fulcrum will stream live on USA Ultimate’s various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Like Ultiworld, USA Ultimate will stream nine pool play games on Friday and Saturday, as well as a Saturday night pre-quarterfinal and Sunday morning quarterfinal.

USA Ultimate also enters its sixth year with ESPN, which will again air all four semifinal games on Sunday, May 27, and both title matchups on Monday, May 28.

Semifinals will air on ESPN3 and stream live on the ESPN app, while the championship games will air live on ESPNU and stream on the ESPN app.

All four semifinals and both championship games will also stream live on TSN GO in Canada. In addition, both finals will air on TSN’s linear network, TSN1, with the men’s final airing on Thursday, May 31, and the women’s final running on Friday, June 1.

“Each year, the bar gets raised with respect to the quality and quantity of live content we’re able to distribute from our events,” commented Andy Lee, USA Ultimate’s managing director of marketing, communications and brand. “This year is another exciting leap forward, which is made possible by not only the talent and commitment of so many people at ESPN, CVM Productions, Fulcrum and Ultiworld, but also by the generous support of our sponsors and advertisers, particularly Discraft and Spin Ultimate.”

In addition to the 28 games from Milwaukee, USA Ultimate is also streaming live for the first time from its Division III College Championships, featuring four games from Rockford, Ill., on May 20, including quarterfinal and semifinal matchups and both men’s and women’s championship games. The content will also be produced by Fulcrum and distributed via USA Ultimate’s social media platforms.

The 2018 USA Ultimate College Championships take place at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee, May 25-28.
