David was born and raised in Madison, Wis. His ultimate career began in high school with Madison West, where he went on to win three Wisconsin High School State Championships.
In 2015, David made the Hodags as a freshman and made an instant impact. Despite a series of injury setbacks ranging from several dislocated shoulders, a broken eye socket and a freak allergic reaction to mangoes, David has been an anchor for the Hodag defense.
An agile and athletic handler defender, David constantly takes on the hardest match ups against the opposing team and still manages to come up with help Ds in the lanes. With the disc, David opens up the field for the offense with a wide range of break throws and an aggressive, attacking style of handler movement that punishes his match up.
Both on and off the field, David is the embodiment of hard work and quiet leadership, preferring to lead by example. A cool head even in the most hotly contested games, David is a shining example of how Spirit of the Game can function at the highest levels.
This past summer, David was invited to tryout for the U.S. U-24 National Team and has consistently proven that he is one of the very best players in college ultimate.
