Laura (LG) had humble beginnings playing in the Dallas Winter League with her dad (a.k.a. The Jim Gerencser) all throughout high school. In the fall of 2014, she made Melee, figured out she could jump at least one whole pizza box and earned a spot on the South Central All-Freshman Team. Since then, she has played on club teams Risky Business and Showdown, received an invite to U-24 tryouts and, most recently, made Austin Torch, the semi-professional women’s team. As a returning captain after a second-place finish at Nationals, she understands what it takes to keep the team engaged and motivated at all times. She is always at the fields early, throwing with younger players or even with older ones trying to learn something new. On the field, she is one of the most consistent players in the game, rarely turning the disc and taking sure-fire shots. While she primarily handles, she should not be taken lightly downfield and is a terrifying match up on deep shots. She uses her height on offense and defense to step around marks, deter throws and snag floating throws. Catch her constantly smiling while playing and vote LG! Yeehaw.
