Team Biography

The Whitman Sweets became a club team at Whitman College in 1992. Since then, we have attended Nationals five times in the last six years! What is a “Sweet,” you might ask? The name refers to the infamous (and delicious) Walla Walla sweet onions, one of the dominant crops grown in our beautiful town. As for the team, we’re a fun loving, hardworking, passionate group of gals who love ultimate. We come from many different ultimate backgrounds, and we love that our team is comprised of those who’ve grown up with the sport as well as those new to the beautiful game. Being a Sweet means showcasing positivity, grit and love while competing, and we can’t wait to be headed back to Nationals this May to show everyone what the Sweets are all about.
