St. Olaf would collect the program’s first title in Milwaukee with a 37-win season. The Berzerkers swept their pool, with wins over Bates, Missouri S&T and Franciscan. With Caleb Szydlo at the helm, the Northfield team worked swiftly through the early bracket, taking down No. 4 seed Whitman in quarters and, in a 2022 finals rematch, defeated No. 2 seed Oklahoma Christian in semis. In the finals, St. Olaf faced off with Williams for the title. With four goals from Gordon Larson and five assists from Matt Kompelien, St. Olaf would win its first championship in a close match-up. The Berzerkers, led by captains Will Brandt, Eric Crosby Lehmann, Cade Ashland and Matt Kompelien, claimed the D-III crown in 2024.
